Château des Charmes

Château des Charmes is a traditional winery with an old-world ambience. It is housed in a gracious and welcoming French chateau that overlooks the 85-acre St. David’s Bench Vineyard in the spectacular beauty of the Niagara escarpment. Founded in 1978, by Paul Michel-Bosc, the winery is one of the largest in Canada and has repeatedly won top honours for its first-class wine. The owners, the Bosc family, can trace their roots through six generations of winemakers who pursued their craft in the Alsace region of France and French Algeria. The winery is known for its innovative techniques that it employs to meet the unique climate challenges of the Niagara Region, and it now produces over a million bottles a year of award winning wine. 

Château des Charmes has three hospitality rooms, a wine boutique and a tasting bar, as well as an outdoor Vineyard Courtyard that is surrounded by a fragrant and colourful rose garden.

Ravine Vineyard Estate

Ravine Vineyard Estate sits on 34 acres just outside St. David’s and is steeped in Ontario history. An outstanding feature of this winery is that it is built around an 1802 farmhouse known as the William Woodruff House. This house has a remarkable story: it was damaged in the War of 1812, subsequently dismantled and moved several times. It lay in pieces in storage until it was at last moved back to its former site and restored by the current owners of the winery. The wine tasting bar is located in this house, which is considered to be one of the best examples of Loyalist Georgian architecture in Canada. 

Next door is a one and a half story building that dates from the 1920’s. Formerly a fruit packing shed, it now houses a deli and bakery that is operated by Chefs Anna and Michael Olson and features gourmet breads, soups, sandwiches and more.

Ravine Vineyard Estate is a family run business, owned by Norma Jane and Blair Harber, who work with a master winemaker to produce an exquisite product.
